Important example of application of a highly popular duplicator model to small business & Japanese Canadian cultural community. Its owner, Mr. Kitamura, came to Vancouver in 1925, was sent to WWII relocation camp, later moved to Toronto. He used Gestetner to produce advertising for his stores & other material (see S.I.) - Function

Twin cylinder rotary stencil duplicating machine. Hand fed, it took 3 turns of handle to produce 1 copy (average production 30 to 40 copies per minute.) This example was first used in small retail business to produce advertising material. - Technical
