Function

A collection of 11 Floppy Discs used to add programs or record information for the XEROX 645S. Une collection de 11 disquettes qui sont utilisées pour rajouter des programmes ou pour enregistrer des données pour le XEROX 645S.

Technical

The 645S comes with a 9-inch screen. The screen is mounted on a support attached to the right or left side of the 645S. The screen can be adjusted by rotating it. The keyboard on the 645S is similar to that of a standard typewriter. This word processor’s printer consisted of a printwheel and ribbon cartridge located inside the carrier. This word processor’s operations are programmed by a selection of 8-inch floppy disks that contain prerecorded instructions for various tasks. The 645S also included Recording Disks which were used to record typing. When an instruction disk was inserted, it was automatically “read” by the 645S. This process is referred to as “loading” the disk. Documents recorded on these disks can be printed, changed, and erased. The keyboard on the 645S is similar to that of a standard typewriter.
