Mr. Nassau acquired this camcorder, and another like it, around 2015. Nassau found this model of camcorder useful as the DVDs onto which it records can be played instantly on every normal DVD player. He moved to Canada at the end of the 1950s, working for CBC and CTV. He started working at S. Waterloo Lutheran University, later Wilfred Laurier, in the 1960s, and was instrumental in developing the university’s use of television for distance learning. Technical

This Sony Handycam demonstrates a number of the developments that made later camcorders more user friendly than the originals. Manufacturers reduced camcorder size and weight in part by changing the medium onto which they recorded. This Handycam records onto re-recordable DVDs. This camera records digitally, technology first seen in camcorders in the mid-1990s. The view finder and the LCD screen make observing recording and playback simpler and the playback screen also functions as a touchscreen through which users can change the camcorders settings and to select recordings to playback. Finish

A black synthetic cable that splits in three and has red, yellow, and white synthetic coatings on three metal plugs respectively on one of its ends. A metal plug is also visible on the other end of the cable. Un câble synthétique qui se sépare en trois avec du matériel synthétique rouge, jaune et blanc pour recouvrir des fiches en métal. Une autre fiche en métal est aussi visible à l'autre bout du câble.
