Engine model, vertical steam engine. The steam going into the first cylinder had a high pressure and steam entering the second cylinder had a low pressure (compound engine).

Vertical/compound steam engine. Exhaust steam enters a second large cylinder and is able to push the piston with reduced but still useful force. Crankshaft is vertically below the cylinder and is balanced. 1.625-2 inch bores.
