- "Inside this can is a rubber-capped/ bottle containing:/ NORMAL HUMAN SERUM/ (POOLED AND DRIED)/ Volume of serum before drying, 400 cc./ LOT 591305/ ISSUED JUL 13 1945/ To reconstitute to normal volume add 400 cc. of/ sterile pyrogen-free distilled water. Markings on bottle/ indicate approximate volumes./ Dried serum should not be reconstituted until/ immediately prior to the administration of the serum./ In no circumstances should dried serum to which water/ has been added be stored for future use./ Prepared by/ CONNAUGHT LABORATORIES/ UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO/ TORONTO, CANADA/ for/ H.M. GOVERNMENT/ DOMINION OF CANADA/ from blood/ obtained from voluntary donors by/ THE CANADIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY", "...
