Technical: .1 PLASTIC STRIP INCORPORATES MICR-ENCAPSULATED LIQUID CRYSTALS (MELC), WHICH ARE TEMPERATURE SENSITIVE AND HAVE OPTICAL PROPERTIES THAT CHANGE AS TEMPERATURE RISES/FALLS. TEMPERATURE CHANGES OF LESS THAN 1/2 DEGREE C. CAUSE MELCS TO RESPOND. STRIP REPRESENTS QUICK, NON-EVASIVEMEANS OF MONITORING FOR SIGNS OF FEVER.
