These antennas may have been used by Nortel Networks. - Function
-
These antennas are designated to radiate RF energy from a transmitter, or to capture RF energy. Radio signals are fed through cables to these antennas and then launched as radio waves into the area, or cell, around the base station they are fixed on. Base stations are medium to high-power multi-channel two-way radios which are in a fixed location. They are typically used by a low-power single-channel, two-way radios such as mobile phones. When you talk on such a mobile phone, the signals from your mobile are being received and sent to a nearby base station. - Technical
