This artifact is the user segment of a satellite-based radio-positioning system providing an extremely accurate real-time estimate of position (latitude, longitude, and elevation). Position information is superimposed on a map of the surrounding area. The information and map are then used to determine position in real-time while en route to a destination and make corrections if necessary. Finish

A glass screen that is held in a black synthetic case that has a silver metal frame. A metal port is visible on the bottom of the GPS to plug a USB cable into it. Markings for a model and serial number are also visible next to the port. Brass coloured metal contact points separate the markings on the bottom of the artifact. The back of the artifact is composed of black and grey synthetic material and has a silver lettering on it to note the manufacturer.
