Technical

The bolts are used in underground mines to support walls and ceiling. The bolts are inserted into a drilled hole filled with polyester resin. The grout works as an anchor between the rock and the bolt. It also prevents the bolt from unwinding under pressure. The bolt has to withstand high pressure, and both, the bolt and grout, have to be strong and flexible enough to absorb seismic events, but hold the rock in place. Rebar bolts are strongly sealed in place and installed as a permanent support. They stay in place for decades and are designed to be very durable. Ces boulons sont utilisés dans les mines souterraines pour renforcer les murs et plafonds. Les boulons sont insérés dans des trous foré qui sont remplis avec une résine de polyester. Le coulis va ancrée la roche au boulon pour s'assurer que le boulon ne se déroule pas sous pression. Le boulon doit résister a une énorme pression et le coulis doit travailler avec le boulon et être assez flexible pour absorber les événements séismiques et quand même tenir la roche en place. Finish

A metal bolt that is threaded at its top. A square nut is attached to the top of the bolt. A spiral descends down the shaft of the bolt to a pointed end. Both the nut and the top part of the bolt are painted red. Un boulon en métal qui est fileté avec un écrou carré sur sont dessus. La manche du boulon a une spirale qui est élevée sur la surface du métal qui descend tout le long du boulon. Le boulon fini en pointe. L'écrou et une petite portion du dessus le boulon est peinturé rouge.
