THIS WAS SIMPLE SYSTEM BUT AWKWARD & DIFFICULT FOR MANY DRIVERS, SOON TO BE REPLACED BY EASIER METHODS. THIS WAS USED WITH DELCO-REMY STARTERS 405A & 405C; BLACKHAWK 1919-1931 ETC. (REF. 1).
