Made in Toronto, and used in an Ottawa home, the case of this 1950’s radio takes its design queues from automobiles of the era. To blend with décor, the D-25 series was available in six colours (see Fig. 1 in worksheet). An example of a 1950’s era table top clock radio. The case of this two knob 1951/52 D-25 model was made of green painted Bakelite. It featured 5 tubes, received in the AM band only, and has a clock with functions; radio alarm, sleep, off, set, alarm. Un exemple d'un radio-réveil des années 1950. - Grey-green casing with gold-coloured accents, black and white clock face, and red and silver-coloured logo on the proper front. Proper back has a brown panel with white and red and black and yellow labels adhered to it. The radio has an off-white power cord. Extérieur gris-vert avec des détails en couleur oré. Devant d'horloge en noir et blanc, et un logo argenté sur le devant. Le derrière a un panneau brun avec des étiquettes blanc, rouge, noir et jaune. La radio a une corde d'alimentation blanche.
