This coffee maker was given to a young couple who had just moved in together in September 2010, as a housewarming gift by a neighbour. Molly was glad with the gift as she likes Cuisinart products. Her mother had a Cuisinart food processor that was really solid and that had been around since Molly’s childhood. She did not though used much this coffee maker as she stopped drinking coffee (and was the only coffee drinker) and even so, when she did, she preferred using her stove top expresso makers as she finds their coffee to be tastier. She also prefers their aesthetic "they are charming and seem like simpler technology"..."also perhaps there is a sense of adventure to them! My dad always warned me the steam release valve could clog and I would be blown up". For her, drip coffee makers remind her of 1980s offices. They used the coffee maker once at a party and for a brunch when her stove top ones could not make enough coffee for everyone. The rest of the time, the coffee maker was stored in its box on top of the kitchen cupboard as they do not have much counter space. Molly était ravie de ce cadeau car elle aime les produits Cuisinart. Sa mère possédait un robot de cuisine Cuisinart très solide qui était là depuis l'enfance de Molly. Elle n'a pas beaucoup utilisé cette cafetière puisqu'elle a cessé de boire du café (elle était la seule à en boire) et même si elle l'a fait, elle a préféré utiliser ses cafetières à expresso sur la cuisinière, car elle trouve que leur café est plus savoureux. Elle préfère également leur esthétique "ils sont charmants et semblent être une technologie plus simple"... "et peut-être aussi qu'ils ont un sens de l'aventure ! Mon père m'a toujours prévenue que la soupape d'évacuation de la vapeur pouvait se boucher et que j'allais exploser". Pour elle, les cafetières goutte à goutte lui rappellent les bureaux des années 1980. Ils ont utilisé la cafetière une fois lors d'une fête et d'un brunch, car la cafetière de la cuisinière ne suffisait pas à faire assez de café pour tout le monde. Le reste du temps, la cafetière a été rangée dans sa boîte, au-dessus du placard de la cuisine, car ils n'ont pas beaucoup de place sur le plan de travail.
