Technical: The Bruel & Kjaer 4230 Sound Level Calibrator is a pocket sized, battery operated sound source intended for quick and direct calibration of 1" and 1/2" diameter microphones, sound level meters and other sound measuring systems. An adapter is placed over the opening for use with 1/2" microphones and is removed when 1" microphones are to be calibrated. With the correct adaptors it can be used for 1/4" and 1/8" microphones as well.
