Canada

Overhead projectors were first built in 1853 and newer models and types prevailed into the 20th century. Projectors began to take up more space in the digital world when they partnered with computers and began asserting themselves in the realm of cinematography. The artifact’s owner worked for the Sharp facility in Carleton Place in Ontario. The item was purchased by the donor at a company disposal sale. The owner then used it as an ordinary overhead projector without an accompanying teleprinting device. Les rétroprojecteurs étaient conçus en 1853 et les nouveaux modèles et types ont apparu graduellement jusqu'au 20ie siècle. Les projecteurs ont pris plus d'espace dans le monde numérique quand ils ont travaillé en équipe avec l'ordinateur pour s'assumer dans la division de cinématographie. Le propriétaire de l'artefact a travaillé en Ontario aux facilités Sharp à Carleton Place. L'objet a été acheté à une vente de cession d'entreprise. L'objet était utilisé comme un rétroprojecteur ordinaire sans l'accompagner a un appareil de télé-impression par le donneur.

Function

This case houses the Model 2510T projector and all of its pieces. It is used for both protection and transportation of the projector. L’étui contiens le projecteur 2510T et toutes ces pièces. L’étui est utilisé pour la protection du projecteur ainsi que pour le transporter.

Technical

A lightbulb shines a light trough a projector lens and will then display and image or illuminate it onto a projection screen. Projectors are also used as a training aid for computer programming technologists. This piece of equipment was intended for training IP Sharp’s personnel in APL programming and for use in classrooms, for example, as a visual aid during a presentation. Une ampoule va faire briller de la lumière au travers une lentille de projecteur qui va afficher une image ou l'illuminer sur un écran de projection. Les projecteurs sont aussi utilisés comme outil de formation pour les technologues en programmation informatique pour les ordinateurs. Cette pièce d'équipement étais utilisé pour entrainer les personnes de la compagnie IP Sharp en programmation APL pour l'utilisation dans les écoles comme aide visuel durant des présentations.

Finish

A black synthetic case with two brown leather fasteners for two red fabric straps that extend around the case. Silver metal corner covers are attached to the bottom of each of the artifacts four corners. Three columns of rivets line the middle and both sides of the artifact. The inside of the case has red cushions. Un étui synthétique de couleur noir avec deux attaches en cuir brune et deux sangles en tissu de couleur rouge qui font le tour de l'étui. Des couvres-coins en métal sont visibles sur chacun des quatre coins de l'artefact. Trois colonnes de rivets sont visibles à gauche, au milieu et à droite de l'objet. Il y a des coussins rouges à l'intérieur de l'étui.
