Made in Toronto, and used in an Ottawa home, the case of this 1950’s radio takes its design queues from automobiles of the era. To blend with décor, the D-25 series was available in six colours (see Fig. 1 in worksheet). An example of a 1950’s era table top clock radio. The case of this two knob 1951/52 D-25 model was made of green painted Bakelite. It featured 5 tubes, received in the AM band only, and has a clock with functions; radio alarm, sleep, off, set, alarm. Un exemple d'un radio-réveil des années 1950.
