- "[logo- MEL]/ MODEL 1548/ DEFIBRILLATOR/ MANUFACTURED BY/ MEASUREMENT ENGINEERING LTD./ ARNPRIOR, ONTARIO, CANADA." and "DESIGNED BY NATIONAL RESEARCH COUNCIL OF CANADA" printed in white on casing front. All controls, connections, indicator lights, etc. labelled. "USE 115 V. 60 CYCLES ONLY" printed in red in upper right of casing front. Some internal components bear mfr's plates, etc. "MEASUREMENT ENGINEERING LTD./ LICENSED BY CANADIAN RADIO/ PATENTS LIMITED/ PATENTED 1938- 1956 INCLUSIVE" printed on black plate inside casing, visible through rear casing opening. NB: UHN catalogue no. not permanently applied to casing. Paper tag marked "979.32.3 b" removed from artifact for storage in Supp. Info. file 2002.0990.
