The creator of JamStack, Chris Prendergast, is a teacher, electrical engineer, inventor, and electric guitar player from Toronto, Ontario. The crowdfunded campaign for JamStack had an initial goal of $25,000 CAD. The campaign closed on December 22, 2016 with a total of $81,881 to the project. To assist with start-up costs, Prendergast also appeared on CBC’s Dragon’s Den and succeeded in getting $200,000 in exchange for 20% equity of JamStack shared between venture capitalists Jim Treliving and Michael Wekerle. Le concepteur de JamStack Chris Prendergast est professeur en ingénieure électrique, inventeur et musicien de guitare électrique natif de Toronto en Ontario. La campagne financière pour JamStack avait comme but de générer 25, 000$ CAD. La campagne a fermé le 22 décembre 2016 avec un total de $81,881 pour le projet. Pour débuter le projet, Prendergast a apporté son produit sur l'émission Dragon's Den et a réussi à avoir un fond de $200,000 en échange pour 20% de sa compagnie avec des spécialistes du capital risque en Jim Treliving et Michael Wekerle.
Function
To amplify electrical signals produced by the magnetic pick-up of an electric guitar, and convert these signals into audible sound wave vibrations using a loudspeaker (internal) or headphones (external). Utilisé pour amplifier les signaux électriques produit par un capteur magnétique d'une guitare électrique et le convertir en vibrations des ondes sonores en utilisant soit un casque de musique ou un haut-parleur.
Technical
The JamStack is a portable, attachable guitar amplifier/loudspeaker. The loudspeaker can also be bypassed using headphones for private/personal listening. The amplifier is designed to be attached to the bottom strap button of the guitar, located at the base of the guitar body. The signal management system allows the musician to use the smartphone interface, and related digital applications, to play alongside backing tracks or drumbeats. The smartphone mount has a spring-loaded system that makes it adaptable to a wide range of guitar body-types, including electric guitars, electric-acoustic guitars, and electric basses. The battery of the amplifier unit is rechargeable, and the company promises up to eight hours of playtime. Le JamStack est un amplificateur portable qui s'attache à une guitare. Le haut-parleur peut être contournée avec des écouteurs pour de l'écoute personnelle. L'amplificateur est conçu pour être attaché à une sangle d'une guitare à sa base de corps. Le système de gestion de signaux permet au musicien d'utiliser un téléphone intelligent et des applications pour jouer par-dessus les chansons ou des battements de tambour. A black rectangular metal cased amplifier with its name written in white on its front. A silver metal bracket sits on its base. A black synthetic knob is visible on the top of the amplifier along with three grey buttons. A manufacturing sticker is also visible along its back. Un amplificateur en forme rectangulaire construit en métal avec le nom du fabricateur écrit sur la face de l'objet. Un support métallique en argent est attaché à la base. Un bouton tournant qui est noire est construit avec du matériel synthétique est visible sur le dessus de l'amplificateur avec quatre boutons gris.
