Type of small kitchen appliances bought and used by Canadians in their kitchens. - Function
-
To cook a piece of meat or a complete meal. - Technical
-
A roaster dutch oven has multiple uses including roasting, baking, and slow cooking. Using a rooster dutch oven could save on energy instead of using a large oven and prevented the kitchen from becoming too warm in summer. The meat being cooked also became more tender as its temperature was raised when surrounded by steam. They are still being sold today (2015) in a similar design but they are programmable. - Area Notes
